February 5, 2007 -- Jonathan Brislin has been named vice president at Collins, and will focus on developing new accounts in the Midwest, "where we are utilizing our 20-year history and deep knowledge of this region to build relationships with insurers of all sizes," Collins President and Chief Executive Officer Pat Denzer announced.
"Since our founding, Collins has built a strong track record in meeting the reinsurance needs of Midwestern insurers," Denzer said. "Today, with catastrophe modeling and other technical capabilities to meet the needs of insurers in the 21st Century, we plan to aggressively expand client relationships across the Midwest.
"Jonathan joins a growing broker team working to deliver our knowledge and capabilities to mid-American insurers," he said.
Mr. Brislin previously worked nine years in the Minneapolis office of the Benfield Group, another reinsurance broker. He began his career in 1995 with Guardian Life Insurance Co. in Fargo, N.D.
Mr. Brislin, who will focus on clients in the property-casualty segment of the reinsurance marketplace, is a North Dakota native with a bachelor's degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. He holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designations.
